San Andres

Well, you know how I told you my friend DestiNae was comming to visit and then we were gonnah go up in the mountains to be a part of a missions trip? Well, we did. Lol. It was so much fun! I was the translator (and I also helped Des with the kids). It was hard but, good practice for my spanish. Here is a picture of me, Des and the kids. I am the one in the black shirt and green sweater. The kids were great...until the last day...let`s just say I have a few bite marks! Haha. I have to remember not to show them that big bag of candy next time. I am not sure if I made this clear before but, our team was there to build a church. This is a picture of the church we built... Pride and Prejudice

On Wednesday, we started a book study with a bunch of other mks (me, Bailey, Siana, Sabra, Sierra, and Katie) on the book 'Pride and Prejudice'. Did you notice that all the people doing it are girls? Yeah, the boys were outside playing something, they weren`t very interested in doing it! Lol. Anyways, we will be doing it every Wednesday. It`s fun! The only thing I don`t like is all the homework we get =P I hate homework! This week, we all have to read 6 chapters and write 2-3 paragraphs about something....i forgot! Haha!
Today, nothing very interesting is gonnah happen...I think. My dad has to go into town tonight but, we might have a water fight before that. Sierra and her mom might be coming over tonight (it`s pizza night!) so, that will be fun. I don`t have alot of school today. YAY! I have to do a math lesson and, that`s pretty much it. Weeeeell, I`m gonnah go now so, byeeeee!

The only picture I like of me...

This is the only picture I like of me. Well...at least it`s one of like 2! Lol. It was taken like 3 days ago by my dad in Bailey`s room. I was glad my dad gave me some warning so I could do my hair and makeup! Lol, he usually just says "Okay, we`re gonnah take a family picture now!" and I`m like "Uh...could we do it in 10 minutes?" haha. Anyways, here it is...

It`s not bad. I don`t hate it and I usually hate pictures of me! Anyways, it`s gonnah be in our newsletter for this month. I`m glad I was wearing that shirt! I like it. I got it in my favorite store here in Antigua, that`s where I get pretty much all my clothes! I don`t know if you can tell but, my hair is orange there! I dyed it with cool-aid with a couple of my friends, I told you about it. Yeah. I was supposed to have red highlights but, it all turned orange! It looked cute, though! And it was fun. Besides, orange is one of my favorite colors. So, yeah! I don`t think anything exciting is gonnah happen today. Just a typical Saterday. I have to do a math lesson and that`s pretty much all I have to do for school. I have to babysit (maybe) this morning. Well, I g2g. Bye!

My party...

Today I realized that I haven`t really told you much about my party so, sorry! But, I`m gonnah tell you now...

Well, before my friends arrived, we went into town to get smoothies and pick up some things for the party (like the food, cake, and snacks). I also got some new jeans but, that doesn`t really matter right now! Lol. Anyways, after picking up all that stuff, we went back home and started getting ready. I had to clean my room and mom had to start making my favorite meal, home made tacos! YUM! So, after that I ran around outside for a few minutes before my friends arrived. When they got here, we climbed the tree and talked for a little while, then we went inside for some snacks. After that, we walked around and talked some more :). When it was dinner time, we ate the tacos while watching the 'Emperor`s New Groove' (Miriam had never seen it before). after we were done eating and we were getting bored of the movie, we decided to play Monopoly (which we never finished, by the way). Finally, it was time fore cake! We paused the game and went to the kitchen table to sing happy birthday and eat cake. Here are some pictures of us...

Miriam is the one to the far left then it`s Siana and then me. I have noooo idea why I am looking at Siana like that or why there is a little white stick in Siana`s fingers so...don`t ask! Lol. Here is a better one...kindof...Haha! Miriam looks funneh! Heeheehee. So, yeah. After the cake we watched 'The Visitation' which totally freaked Siana and Miriam out! Then we talked and i got sick (probably from eating so much junk food!) so, we all slept in the bathroom! Yeah, my mom got up at like 6 and she was like "What the heck?" lol. So, when we got up in the morning, we ate breakfast (home made cinnamon rolls!!!) and we dyed our hair with cool aid! It was so much fun! Siana had red highlights, Miriam had blueish highlights and all my hair turned orange! It was fuuuun! Then we got ready to go, watched 'Life is Beautiful' and went to La Azotea (where Bailey rides horses every Wednesday and Monday) to drop them off with Siana`s mom.

So, that`s pretty much it! I asked Miriam to email me the pics she took with her camera so, if she does, I will put them on here, too. Okay, bye!

School

Well, now that my birthday is over, I have to start school again. I`m pretty behind on government and reading. But that`s not really a big deal because all i have to do is two weeks worth of each of those subjects this week and I will be okay. I`m not even worried about math! Haha! Usually that`s the subject that worries me the most! So far, I`m doing pretty good on the whole working ahead thing, I`m only about 3-5 days behind but each lesson only takes me an hour so, that`s not a big deal either. I already have spending money for when Des gets here so, I don`t have to worry about that. Lol, I don`t really have anything to worry about!
Everything is going well down here (or up here if you live further down than Guatemala). We still don`t know when we are gonnah get Lola, sometime in late september. Only about 2 months to go until Des comes! I`m so excited! We`re gonnah have soooo much fun! I have a ton of things planned. Anyways, I gatta go clean Mish`s litter box :P so, bye

I`M 14!!!

Yay! Today is my birthday! I am finally as old as the rest of my friends! Lol. Right now I am waiting for mom to get done with school with Bailey and Christopher (I don`t have to do school today!!!) then we are going to go into town and we are gonnah get the stuff for my party and go shopping! I can`t wait for Siana and Miriam to get here! We`re gonnah have sooooo much fun! I`m VERY excited to watch the movie 'Life is Beautiful' with them, it`s my favorite movie but it`s soooo sad!!!!! I cry so hard! Lol.

Back!

Well, everything went well. We left on Saterday and we came back a couple of minutes ago. I`m sooooo happy to be back home! Mexico was okay but, i just HATE going there every 90 days! So, I am still gonnah have my party tomorrow! Yay! I`m sooo happy! Anyways, I`m too tired to write any more right now so, bye!

I`m pretty mad!

Well, we didn`t go to Mexico today! We got all packed and we got in the shuttle and everything was great. When we had arrived at the Tica Buss Station to get our tickets, they said no busses were going to Mexico today because there are riots and protests by the Mexican border. So, we don`t know what we are going to do yet. We might go tomorrow if it has settled down or we might go to Belize. We aren`t sure yet, we are still thinking about it. It wouldn`t be a big deal if we hadn`t already made hotel reservations! We lost 100 dollars because we had to pay for the hotel room even though we didn`t even use it. But, I guess that`s the way it is :( at least we were able to cancel our hotel reservations for tomorrow so we don`t have to pay ANOTHER 100 dollars! THAT would be bad! Lol. It`s an adventure.
So, I`m not sure what we`re gonnah do but, there`s nothing I can do about right this second so, I`m just gonnah relax and see what happens! I just hope we get back in time for me to still have my party!!! If we don`t, I will probably have it on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. My mom said I won`t have to cancel it, I might just have to have it on another day. So, I`m gonnah go now because my sister wants to get on. Bye!

Lola, Mexico, and School...

Well, a few days ago, we found out what my sister`s birthday (September 28th) present will be...A NEW PUPPY!!! We are sooo excited! Her name is Lola and she is a little Terrier puppy! We have never seen her before but, he people who own her(we know them well from church) said she is white and she is very good. We are not quite sure when we will get her but, it will be some time before October. They have to leave to go back to the States and so, they are giving her to us!
Besides that, nothing very exciting has happened here lately. We have to go to Mexico tomorrow to renew our visas and we will be back on Sunday...I really hate these trips! They are so long and I really don`t like Mexico! But, it will be done soon and then on Tuesday, I will have my birthday party! Hopefully, it will go fast.
Have I told you that I am working ahead on my school work? I don`t remember...anyways, I am! I want to because then I won`t have to do it from October 31-November 23 (while Des is here). So far, it`s going pretty good. It`s been kind of hard but, it`s is totally worth it!!! That way, for the 15 days Des will be here, we can just hang out and do whatever. Then, when we go up into the mountains, we can play with the kids and I can translate and I don`t have to worry about getting behind in school!

My birthday.....

Well, my birthday is comming up, September 2nd!!!! I will be 14! I`m so excited! This year I`m gonnah have a party! I`m not sure what I`m gonnah do yet so, I`ll update you as soon as I get it all figured out. I know for sure that I`m gonnah dye my hair darker! Yay! I finally decided! It`s a miracle! Lol! I`m excited. I only have 3 weeks left as a 13 year old :'( it`s kinda sad! Lol! Not really! Yeah...I don`t have to go but I want to so, bye!!!!

The Olympics...

Well, you know how the Olympics started yesterday? Well, today we are going to have a HUGE Chinese dinner(because the Olympics are in China this time), we`re gonnah have fondue, and we`re gonnah have the Otto's(the family I babysit for) over for it, too. We`re all gonnah watch the Olympics together. It`ll be fun. I love the Olympics! I really like the winter Olympics better, because of the ice skating, but I also like to watch the gymnastics in the summer Olympics. Anyways, it`ll be fuuuun!

Quick Update

Hey, peoples! I just wanted to say that.......I`M DYING MY HAIR!!!!! I`m so excited :) I`m not sure if I`m gonnah go lighter or darker but, I`m gonnah do it on my birthday (September 2nd). I really want to dye it darker but, my mom keeps telling me lighter! AAAAAAAAA!!!! Maybe I`ll just dye it bright pink. JK. I would NEVER do that! Yeah, i think I`m gonnah dye it brown. Probably not too dark but, darker. I totally gonnah get the kind of dye that only stays in for a few weeks, though! Just in case I don`t like it, it won`t matter because it`ll fade away soon......so, yeah! Anyways, I`m gonnah go now. Just wanted to...talk about hair...I guess??? Lol. So, bye!

Hello, again

Hey

Sorry it`s been so long since I wrote last. My grampa, Brian, had a heart attack a couple of days ago so, it`s been crazy over here! He`s alot better, though. He`s going back home either today or tomorrow.

Well, this week we`re supposed to have the week off of school. But I don`t . I could if I wanted to but, I wanna work ahead so I don`t have to do school while Des is here. I just have to work ahead on math and reading so, it`s not that bad. I`m actually enjoying the book that I`m reading!!! I NEVER like books I have to read for school! This is a first. It`s called 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and it`s kinda interesting.
I can`t beleive I`m saying this but, I`m actually enjoying algebra, too! It`s not that bad. I think the worst part is at the beggining but, once you get the basics, it gets easier. Now, I`m actually enjoying it! I don`t exactly look forward to it but, I`m not crying when I have to do it. The only thing I don`t like about it is that it takes me an hour to do it. Oh well. I still like it!
Today, I think I might go to horse back riding with my mom and sister. I like to hang out there while my sister is riding horses. I`m not really in to riding horses. I like it alot but, I just like riding however I want and going really fast. My sister does English riding so, it`s more formal. That`s what I don`t like to do. My friend, Siana, usually is there to hang out with me, too but, she`s in Canada right now and I don`t know when she`ll be back. I think I`ll still go, though.

Good news!

A couple of days ago, I got the BEST news!!! My best friend DestiNae is coming to GUATEMALA!!!!!!! I`m sooo excited! She is coming October 31st and she will be with us for 15 days. After that, me and her will go up in the mountains to be a part of a missions trip. We`ll be with eachother for about three weeks!!! I was so excited when I heard she was coming that I screamed!!!
The team that is coming down on the missions trip will be building a church so, me and DestiNae`s job will be playing with the kids and keeping them out of the construction site. I`m really glad that we will be doing that because I love working with the guatemalan kids. I will also be translating for the team (which I LOVE doing!!!) so, It will be fun!
Anyways, just a little update on what`s going on here. I`ll post again soon!

Camp 2

Okay, I have finally found the time to finnish what I started.....about a month ago. I know, I know! But, everything has been sooooo crazy lately! I know, I`ve said thet SO many times as an excuse but, it`s true! Being missionaries in a foreign country isn`t allways restfull, ya know!

Anyways, I left of at super hero day, right??? So now, I`ll move on to team spirit day, which was probably my favorite (yes, that may have something to do with the fact that we won that day!). Us Purple People Eaters decided to dress up as Purple People Eaters! Haha! Aren`t we creative? Anyways, we got out the eyeliner, the gorilla snot (REALLY thick gel), the short shorts, the streamers, the purple hair spray, and we got to work. We used the eyeliner for (as you may have guessed) drawing our 'one eye' on top of our foreheads. We used the gel to make our hair stick up to make a 'horn'. In the end, we had to hold out horns up with our hands when we wanted them to stick up because, we found out thet it was IMPOSSIBLE (even after using half the container on one person and blowdrying it until it dryed up) for them to stay up by themselves! Anyways, you know how in the song (which was also part of our chant) they say, "We wear short shorts"? Well, we just HAD to wear short shorts, of course but, since we weren`t alowed to, we all weared them over our pants! We got extra points for creativity, though! Haha! Anyways, we used the streamers to make wings and we used the purple hair spray to dye our hair. Here`s the picture!

I took me like 30 minutes to get all that gel out of my hair, though! We totally deserved to win! We even got extra creativity points for our 'short shorts'! Thay loved it! Anyways, let me explain why you don`t see our flag in this picture. It`s horrible!!!!!!!!!! We did it the night before. This is the only way I know how to explain it...12:30am, Major sugar high, SIANA. I think that explains it all! It was awsome, though! Camp!

Ok, I promised I would tell you all about camp but, I never said when so, don`t be mad at me just because it`s been a few weeks since camp!

Anyways, about camp. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I don`t have time to tell you all about it today so, I`ll have to do it in two different posts. Anyways, it was insane! It rained every day from like 3:00 to 5:00! RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR FREE TIME! But, that was okay `cause because of that, me and Siana got to make totally awsome pillows!

This year (by the way, I`m only talking about the teen camp in this post because, I don`t know anything about what happened at the little kids camp!) the girld cabin and the boys cabin was seperated into two teems each. For the girls it was the Pink and Purple and for the boys it was the Green Camo and Blue. We all had to come up with names for our team so, here they are...

Pink- The Pink Phantoms

Purple- The Purple People Eaters

Green Camo- The Green Camo Warriors

Blue- The Blue Squids

It was so fun! Me and Siana were Purple People Eaters and out chant won best chant!!!! Our team didn`t win for our banner but...that`s another story that I don`t have time to write at this moment! I`ll write it in the next post!

This year, there was super hero day, team spirit day, and backwards day. Here are the pictures of the pink and purple team on super hero day. I`ll save the best for last so, I`ll do the pink team first! Hahaha! Sorry, Miriam!

Two more days!

Well, only two more days until camp! I`m sooo nervous! I don`t know why, but I am! I can`t wait! This is what we`re going to do, on Sunday, we`re gonnah get to church early to set up the classes then, after worship, we`re gonnah leave for camp! But first, we`re gonnah stop at Taco Bell and eat. Once we get there, none of my friends are gonnah be there for at least two more hours! :P I`m gonnah be all alone! Waaaa! What Am I gonnah do?! Oh well.

Remember how I told you we might go see Prince Caspian in english? Well, we did...kinda. We saw it but they didn`t have it in english so, we saw it again in spanish. Oh well. Like I told my mom, Skandar (Edmund) looks the same in spanish as he does in english! Haha! Yep, I`ve replaced Zac Efron with Edmund!

I have to go fold laundry but, as soon as I get home from camp Guamiski, I`ll tell you EVERYTHING! Byez!

Fathers Day...

Well, Fathers Day is comming up and, this year, I gave my dad a very.....interesting present! Haha! I get a magazine called 'Brio' and they were having a father-daughter look alike contest so...I signed us up! I took theese pictures and emailed them to the Brio Staff. Oh yeah, my dad didn`t know! Heeheeheeh! I finally did tell him but, we haven`t gotten the magazine for this month yet. I`m so excited to see it! Anyways, here are the pictures!

This year for Fathers day, we might do something on Wednesday instead of Sunday, when fathers day really is (because camp starts on fathers day). Anyways, we might go into the city, eat lunch, than go see Prince Caspian again! Yay! I hope it works out! I wanna see it again so bad! I g2g byez!

Not much to say...

Well, like the title says, I dont have much to say today. Not much happened. I only have to do Biology and Algebra this week (I only did Biology today because my mom was gone and I have to do algebra with her) and that`s pretty nice.

I`m so excited for camp in two weeks! Two weeks from tomorrow, actually! It`s crazy, it seems like camp last year was only a couple months ago! I cant beleive it`s been a year!!! When I get back, I`m gonnah have to tell you all about it! I hope it`s as good as last year!

I have to go. Well, really, I dont have to go but, I don`t have anything else to say so, I kinda do have to go! Haha, byez!

Mexico...

Well, about a week ago, we had to go to Tapachula, Mexico to renew our visas. We decided to stay only for one night, which was a mistake because they wanted us to stay longer. It turned out fine though because, we just had to take a later bus the next day. That turned out to be a good thing because that way we got to swim a little bit the next day.

Another good thing is that we got to see 'Prince Caspian'!!! YAY! I like it so much than the last movie! It`s awsome! It`s my new favorite movie! Anyway, I know I haven`t written for a while but, I g2g. I need to clean the house before my mom and dad come back home from the retreat they went to yesterday. Byez!

You will NEVER believe this!

Tuesday morning and after noon were great...my dad took me shopping and we got some ice cream (I got a strawberry cheescake flavor! YUMM!). It all really started going down hill when my dad came home from helping someone move from one house to another...

Anyways, my dad came home and me and him decided to watch 'The Matrix' together (which is a REALLY good movie, by the way!). My mom made pie that afternoon so, we got another peice. On our way up the stairs, I noticed something in Mish`s mouth. Yep, it was ANOTHER mouse! The first thing I did was run to my room and shut my door so we wouldn`t have to go through what we went through last time (see last post)!

It took us a while but, we finally cought the mouse, killed it, and watched 'The Matrix'. Now, we`re only waiting to see when the next mouse will show up!

A crazy two days

You will never believe the two days I had! Actually, I`m having a hard time believing them myself! It all started after I published the last post, I went to a YWAM service thay had at Soleil (a hotel a couple seconds away from my house). The worship part of it was great but, when it got to the sermon part, I felt like I was gonnah die! He went on for two hours! TWO HOURS! I couldn`t believe it!
Like my mom said, it would be an one thing if it was two hours of something interesting but, its something completely different if it`s two hours of something that doesn`t make sence, you can`t follow, and BORING! And that`s just what it was! I gave up trying to figure out what he was saying a half an hour into the sermon.
I`m not trying to be mean or anything, I`m sure he`s a really nice person but, It seemed like ot would never end! My mom and dad were talking after the service and my mom said, "It`s like watching 'The Return of the King', there`s like 5 different endings and whenever you think he`s about to finnish, he goes on again about something else! It was horrible!

Anyways, that was just the beginning! We got home (and we were really tired!) we opened the door to find Mish with something in his mouth, that`s right, a MOUSE! We screamed and jumped up on the couch! It was just like all those movies! It was so funny! Only, then it wasn`t funny, it sure is now, though! Anyways, the screaming scared Mish so he brought the mouse into a room...guess which one! Yep, MINE! Out of all the other rooms in this house, he brings the mouse into MY BEDROOM! I couldn`t believe it! Finally, my mom, my sister, and my brother went to bed while me and my dad tried to catch the mouse in my room!
After an hour (AN HOUR!) of trying to catch that stupid little mouse, me and my dad decided to drag everything out of my room and look through it very carefully so, we did. Finally, we had looked through allmost EVERYTHING, we only had 1 thing left, and guess where it was! In the very last thing! I felt like crying! As soon as we foud it, it took off running like crazy! My dad ran after it and hit it with our mop! So hard that the mop broke in half! By then, I was trying not to laugh! I was just standing there watching my dad run after a mouse all around my room like a little kid and then beat it with a stick! That was funny.

Well, IU suppose you know what today was like, after hearing that story!

1) I was tired (I didn`t get to sleep untill 12:00)

2) I had to teach sunday school (it was great but, I could hardly keep my eyes open!)

3) I spent ALL DAY cleaning my room (after we killed the mouse, we were too tired to put everything back in its place so, we just threw everything into my room and left it for this afternoon when we got home from church)

4) All I ate today was a peice of banana bread and a peice of pizza.


Well, thak you for your patience as I tell this horrible story! I have to go to bed now, or my head might break the keyboard! Byez!

9th grade!

Well, I`m really in 9th grade now! I`m so happy! I can`t believe it! Yay! I know it`s gonnah be hard but, I`m still excited for some reason! hahaha. I`m almost done with Biology, too. Only 3 more modules (6 weeks). Algebra is going ok, it`s hard but I think I`m starting to get it.

Ok, enough about school now! Lets move on to something more interesting. But, I don`t really have anything interesting to write! Lets see..... camp is coming up in a few weeks and I don`t think I`ve ever been so excited! We payed for it a couple of days ago so, I`m officially going! I am soooooooo hoping I dont get the same bunk I got last year, right next to the door! And I am NOT going to sleep on the top of a bunk! Even if I have to trade with someone! Every year they put a piece of paper with your name on it on the bunk you will sleep on and I am HOPING that I get a good bunk this year!

I hope my hair grows a lot before camp. I was stupid and I got it cut. It didn`t turn out the way I thought at ALL! Yeah...lets just say I cried for an hour! I don`t know what I was thinking! But, it`s just hair and the good thing about it is that it grows. I just really hope it grows before camp!

I have to go shopping. I have like 150q (like...15$) and I wanna spend some of it on clothes, probably like 75q of it. The rest I think I`ll save. I should do something with my hair before camp. Siana told me about the salon in Mono Loco and she said the lady who cuts the hair is really good at 'fixing' bad hair cuts (and I know its true because she fixed her and her sister`s hair and its really cute now!) so, maybe I`ll go there. Idk, we`ll see what happens.

Today my parents are at a YWAM conference. So, I`m home alone with my brother and sister
:( I`m making soup for dinner tonight, it should be good. I hope my parents will be home in time for my mom to show me what I have to do to finish the soup. I guess I`ll have to wait and see!

Hi, again!

Today is Friday, the 16th. I have a spelling test today, a biology test, and a paper due. I`m really happy because today is my last day of 8th grade!!! I`m in High School! YAY! Right now, my sister is watching "Loves Enduring Promise", my brother is out side playing, my mom is at a Bible Studdy, and my dad`s sleeping.
I don`t know what I`m going to do tomorrow, probably not anything exciting. My cat is sleeping on a chair (surprise, surprise) and my dog is doing his new 'Roll-Over' trick. I`m gonnah eat some Lucky Charms so, I g2g. Byez!

Mothers Week

Hi! I havent written for a while! Well, its may 15th I think and last Sunday, we started Mothers Week. Let me explain...

Last Sunday, it was Mothers Day. But, my dad came up with an idea because he didnt wanna do the same thing we do every year. So, we all decided that instead of just having a mothers day, we would have a mothers WEEK! So this week mom gets to do whatever she wants! Im doing all the cooking, Bailey and Christopher are doing the cleaning, and Dad is doing the homeschooling! So far its been great! Its Thursday so, we only have two more days left until were done.

School is going pretty good for me, Ive been getting As in Biology (I even got a couple of A pluses!) and Im not doing bad in Algebra either. This is my last week of 8th grade and Im really excited to start High School!!!

May is allmost half way over and that means camp is comming up soon. I love camp! Its so much fun! Every year it gets better! I have so much stuff I have to do before camp though! Its crazy! Ive been babysitting for a family who just came down a couple of weeks ago to work with our church. Ive been babysitting there alot and I Love it! I wish I coupld babysit there more! The kids are awsome and so much fun!

I dont know what else I have to tell you, thats pretty much all thats been happening since we got back from MN. So, Ill write later! Byez!
